America was excited this morning because there are now presents under her tree! This morning we took our social studies benchmark test and I think the kids did wonderfully!! We are gonna have a GREAT GREEN DAY! Daniel go and move your clip up- here is a second chance!

Today is Alyssa's BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is 8!!!!!
Tomorrow we are spending almost the whole day getting our signs ready for next week which is the Lexicon leap!

Next week our party will happen. We will celebrate Christmas by having a party.
Each kid will bring a different snack! We are ready for our 2 week vacation!!!

Today we will read Beauty and the Beast. We are all excited because this is one of our favorites! We are focusing on fiction, story elements, summary, and creating our own endings to stories. Yesterday we learned how to put commas into our writing when we are writing about a list. :-)


Tomorrow will be Decemeber 1st, and we will begin our countdown to CHRISTMAS DAY!!!
We have to stay on green and have good character so SANTA WILL COME! hahahahaha
Also Alyssa's birthday is NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So today we read A Wolf in Sheep's clothing. We discussed how to change the ending, and how to connect this book with other texts, and we changed the setting to have a new resolution.

We are back from Thanksgiving holiday. We had a great time and ate too much! Today we are going to learn about summaries! We will continue to learn about fiction and story elements. We will work on 2 digit addition, problem solving, and start our unit on MAGNETS and LANDFORMS!!

Mekenzie had her birthday and she went to her friend's Dad's house and they did arts and crafts! And they sang Happy Birthday and they painted!! They are going to play dressup and do arts and crafts. She got a guitar, microphones, and a radio.

Today we had double specials. We had fun! Alyssa was out on Tuesday- she was sick but now she is back!YAY!

Today we did an experiment with force and motion. We used the cars that Diego, Lesley, and Carlos made! They are awesome. We learned that the heavier a car is, the slower it moves. Diego's car won the race! All the cars were amazing!!!

Today is Monday and we are happy to be back! I can tell that we are a little tired but we will do a great job anyway! Alyssa is practicing her songs for the after school program!

Yesterday America had a cake for her birthday which was last Monday.
We are happy that Hunter and Isaiah are back after being gone so long!
Hunter's uncle is coming home from the war!!! YAY!!
Citlali watched Twilight this weekend - she is ready for Breaking Dawn!
Jesus's dog bit him yesterday! OUCH!
Yesterday Adriana went to her sisters house and went to the park.

This week we will review how to tell time! We will tell time to the hour, half-hour, and nearest 5 minutes.

Today in our fiction study we read the Little Red Hen and talked about all of the story elements, did a story chart and made a class chart too!

11-11-11 it's Friday!! Diego says we get to stay home for 2 days!

Daniel is going to hie uncle's toplay 360, Mekenzie is going to her Dad's! Alyssa's dog keeps scratching her, Rayne is going to the park on Sunday if she has green today! Oscar is hoping to go to the website abcmouse.com. Diego's cousin's party is tomorrow- he will be 16! Pizza and cupcakes will be served! Joceyln and most of the girls are going to see Twilight Breaking Dawn next weekend- AND MRS. COX TOO! And DIEGO AND ALYSSA AND AURORA AND ALL OF US!!!

Tonight Mrs. Cox is going to a fancy wedding downtown and has a new dress and shoes!

America got a Barbie bike for her birthday! Adrian is going to play his xbox 360 this weekend- and he will also play on professorgarfield.com., and draw pictures for me and Brady.

Citlali has to give away 2 dogs, but is getting a computer.

Today we will read Daisy and the Egg! We are learning so much and now all the kids understand what climax, resolution, theme, conflict, plot, characters, and what setting are! Yay our class!

Today is Thursday and we have started out doing a great job! We are about to learn about fiction again! Yesterday we learned so much and today we will learn more! Today we will read The Uglified Ducky and talk about it's story elements!

Today we have more sad news in our classroom. Valentin has moved and will be attending another school. We will miss him. Brandy also left a few days ago. Good luck at your new school.

Today we will continue to learn about fiction! We will read Mr. Pusskins and the Little Whiskers. We will talk about the story elements and the details. Today we will learn also about climax and resolution and what this means!

November 8th, 2011

Last night America celebrated her birthday with a new black and blue dress! COOL! Hunter's dog bit him last night!!!!

Today in science we discovered how to make a roller with wheels and an axle. We used straws, discs, big disks, and plastic disks, and we made motion that was straight, wobbly, back and forth, and our wobblers could even go around a corner.

At home this week we are learning about the sound of long i, and we are creating our car project with our parents. Remember you have to MAKE ALL THE PARTS YOURSELF. The project is due on November 21st, the same day as Oscar's mom and Mrs. Cox's birthday!

Thanksgiving is in 2 weeks and we are ready for the break and to eat turkey!

This is Mr. John Jacob. He has been volunteering in my class for 8 years! He is a wonderful man who graciously gives his time every Wednesday to us. He helps us read, write, think, and become artists! We LOVE him!!!

Today we have the Grand Opening Party for our brand new school! Also we are going to write letters to Oscar's mommy thanking her for being our classroom volunteer. Alyssa and Daniel read books to our class this morning and they did a fantastic job! We are excited because tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! Treasure box for green people!!

Today is our very first blog post. This morning we did our book reports and the kids did an excellent job. They did these reports with their parents. In the classroom we painted pumpkins that match our book. The project was amazing! Our classroom volunteer, Mr. Jacob, came today and brought us a pumpkin that he had carved.
