Today is Monday and we are super excited to continue our research! I can't believe how much we have learned so far!

This week we will also review 3d shapes in math, we will write by asking questions and answering them, and we will review main idea, details, compound words, verbs, nouns!

Hero Project

This week we started researching a hero. Each student picked their own hero that they will present to the school in 4 weeks! These are our heroes.

January 19th, 2012

Today in math we will review ordering numbers and use an awesome new flipchart! Today Mrs. Cox went to a training to learn all about a test that we will be taking! We have so much to learn but I know that we will do a great job!
Alyssa's dog got tied up in a rope. She was playing and tied herself up in it. But she is ok!
Aurora's cat tried to catch a mouse and then the mouse ran away.
Citlali has a rabbit names Princess but she scratches her!
One day Kevin got a dog named Baby and he was cute but he always plays with Kevin. He also has another dog and that dog is named Lucy.
Emily said that on the bus Kevin and her brother tickle each other! haha
Isaiah used to have a bunny who died, very sad.
Daniel has a puppy who is growing up and he is fat now and he also runs when he lets go of his rope.
Alejandro has a little bulldog that has a little puppy.
Hunter's parents had some sad news but we are hoping it doesn't happen! :-)

Today we are trying to have a learning day however 3 of us are sick! INCLUDING MRS. COX! We are going to continue to study our rocks and do the best we can even though we don't feel good!

Today we learned about contractions. Contractions are 2 words made into one by using and apostrophe.

We are also going to begin learning about money today! We will learn how to count money, add money, and subtract money! We will also learn the value of cash and coins.

January 6th, 2012

Today we will continue to learn about rocks! yesterday and today we had kids bring in rocks to share with the class, and we will observe them and write about them.

Isaiah brought his vtech computer to school! carlos also brought his vreader!! Today Mrs. Cox also brought her ipad.

America has great news! She will represent SBE at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! She painted a picture of a cowgirl! Congratulations!

We are back!

Happy New Year! We all had a great Christmas break! We just started studying rocks and we are learning about how rocks form and where they come from. We are also learning that there are 3 types of rocks:
1. igneous
2. sedimentary
3. metamorphic
We are so excited to learn more each day about rocks and look forward to some really fun projects.
